Need Help identifying part.

Hello, i have a 1986 240 DL Volvo wagon and i'm having trouble with my car stalling when i slow down. while i was trying to figure out i discovered a part that was broken but i don't know what it is, Please help.

Were vacuum hoses attached to it? Not sure but my guess is frame trap holder ...

I think it was attached to a vacuum, however it wasn't bent like that, but maybe it was just broken.

umm it was nestled in the air manifold thingie on top of the engine in the middle... I JB welded it back together and it seems to work now but I still think I should replace it

after some googling that's totally it and I ordered the whole kit, thanks very much for the quick reply

The lower part of that kit goes between the oil separator box and the flame trap - the aftermarket versions are junk. Mine lasted 6 months from the scantech kit. The top piece is OK.
