If all this info doesnt help you decide. I am a 20 y/o college student. I have driven my friends honda accord ( late 90's model), my friends nissan murano (alright car), an 02 altima (steering was light as a feather.. hated it)

none of those give me the pure rwd joy that my 82 does. Sure its not as quick but i merge just fine in charlotte traffic. cruising is good (if my cruise control worked), i made a 3 hour run from Charlotte to fayetteville full a/c and avg speed about 65 mph.
car never over heated on me. gauge never left just below middle.

point is, its a great car. work out all the little bugs and you got yourself a solid well built sweedish ferrari.

volvo for life!

it tends to have what I call that "loose floaty" feel when changing lanes at highway speeds............

Have you adjusted the front wheel bearing?

Wow, thank you everyone for your very helpful and friendly advice. I was already drooling over these cars before I even joined this forums, but your input has helped confirm what I already suspected that these are really neat cars, so maybe if things work out for me $ wise, I'll find the right one at the right time. Thanks again.
