Default no fuel - but relay looks good

Hey, good to see another forum with some regular folks on here trying to keep the oldies alive.

Patient: 91 B230F wagon. car died while wife driving it. Luckily, on our street. But, there is spark but no fuel.

How can I test the fuel pump without removing it?

To test for fuel, I simply disconnected the line before the regulator and turned the ignition. Nothing flowed and the car didn't start. I just removed the relay and poked inside and it appeared mint and new, although it is dated "91" so I'll assume it's original.

Any suggestions before digging into the pump? (it's a wagon, BTW).

Thanks very much for suggestions.

Put a jumper wire on the left sides of fuses 4 and 6 and listen for the pumps running.

bubba, when you say fuses do you mean the connections 4 and 6 of the relay?

fuses in the 740 are behind the ashtray in the center console. In these cars, the #1 fuse is the fuel pump, a 25A.
