Default No start No spark

The Volvo was stalling after a couple of minutes of idling. I guess the heat buildup was causing a certain part to fail. I changed the crank position sensor and it was still stalling. Now it will not start at all so I checked for spark coming out of the ignition coil and none is present. I have proper voltage and ground going into the coil but there is no pulsating action. I swapped out the ignition coil and I still don't have spark and the car won't start. I am beginning to think that it might be the ignition module/power stage located on the driver side fender. Is there a way of checking it, maybe with a meter, before changing yet another part for nothing. Is there any other part aside from the ignition module that could be causing this problem. My patience is wearing thin so any help will be greatly appreciated.

well, I'd check for the timing signal going INTO the ignition power module. if thats not there, then it wouldn't work.
