Outer tie rod bolt problem

Outer tie rod bolt problem
I have been working on a 78 242 for a friend of mine. He loves the car and does not want to part with it. I changed the boot on the tie rods the other day. I noticed on the driver (left) side there was no nut on the outer tie rod. It is the nut that you tighten when you set the alignment. The PO must have removed it for some reason. I have looked for one, but can not find one. Does anyone know what size it is? Are the threads different on the left and right? I know some cars have left handed threads on one side and right on the other. Any help would be great. I could take the tie rod off and take it to the bolt shop, but it would be a lot easier if I had the size and thread count.
