overdrive help 1991 740
My 1991 740 overdrive lockout seems to kick on at will. Button on shifter will not turn it off. Have replaced relay no luck.
Checked wires at bottom of shifter appear ok. Do not know how to take off the top of ****er to check button. Can I disconnect? Never us anyway!!!! Thank you for any imput or help. SORRY---auto trans. |
RE: overdrive help 1991 740
It could be the button, I've seen them gum up and do that. I believe the '91 has the old style pressure fitted button which pulls out by prying it out carefully with a little flat head screwdriver. Once out just clean it and see how it goes.
