parking lights inop,92' 240 and the fix
My right rear parking lights went out after I had already replaced the bendable circuit. Board and gasket. Turns out I took off the connector and it was all wet. The housing was holding water as well. I Installed new whole rt.rear Assy.(FCP GROTEN) with gasket and a thin coat of silicon sealant on BOTH sides of the gasket and a generous portion across the top. They still didn't work and the brown and white wire that feed had no voltage. I then replaced the light integrity. Sensor (ipd Volvo) and still nothing. What found was the fuse for the RT. Parking. Light was corroded slightly on the front contact. I removed all fuses and brushed all the brass holder prongs with a small wire brush from lowes. I then applied a thin coat of dielectric grease on the brass prongs. I also slightly bent a few prong to give more holding strength and reinstalled fuses per the fuse cover. This has solved my problems w the lights.
