Default PCV/Oil separator box

I already have posted about how to clean everything i decided just to buy a new one and a new flame trap the hoses and the box and the o ring my question now is just is it easier just to take the manifold off and get to the box leave the manifold on it i just want to know the easiest and quickest way to do all of my pcv

I would take the manifold off as it makes it a lot easier - especially if you have big hands. Just make sure you put on a new gasket when putting it back together.

and if you're removing the IACV, get new hoses for it because the 25+ year old ones will probably crack.

On my 740 all I do is remove the throttle body , IAC and big air hose. I remove the oil trap box and install a new one. I do this at 100k intervals. Takes me about 1-2 hrs and I take my time.
