Hi-

I've just purchased an '88 240 DL in excellent condition inside and out. The interior has one minor flaw, however. The two pieces of plastic fascia that frame the upper dash radio and the two air vents immediately below the radio are slightly pushed in and broken in a couple of places. Is it possible to replace these parts? I haven't found an online parts supplier that carries dash fascia parts. Would a good local Volvo repair shop be better able to locate such parts? Do I have any good options? I would really like to fix this flaw as the upper dash panel is a bit of a visual focal point as you know. I'd be grateful for any help. Thanks.

 

you're not going to find the parts for a car that has been out of production for 17 years at the dealer. They still are very good at having many of the mechanical items, but finding new factory trim pieces will be tough. The trim piece around the radio can be found on eBay...just look for a radio mounting kit. As for the a/c trim, your best bet will be the jy.
