Brother has a 88 240 and yesterday I was driving and all if a sudden it felt like the power steering quit the right and left side were being difficult to turn but its the first time this happened but I check the PS fluid and it was fine need some suggestions were both new to volvos

 

when the PS went out on our 240, I could hardly tell except when parking. in our case, it went out because the belt broke.

 

I'm going to check the belt and steering joint
