Pulling a junkyard engine and trans
Hey all,
I have a 240 out here at a local scrapyard and I'm looking to pull the motor and trans. Aside from removing the driveshaft and motor mounts, what will I need to do to pull the motor and trans? I have straps, chains and a forklift at my disposal, no cherry picker and the car is up on blocks. Help lol!

Since the car is up on blocks, you'll need to make sure it's properly supported before you start pulling anything out. You don't want the car to tip over or fall off the blocks! If you don't have a cherry picker, you can use your forklift to lift the engine and trans out. Just make sure to use straps or chains to secure everything so it doesn't fall off.

Hey there, what's up dude! Saw your post on pulling an engine and trans from a 240 at a junkyard. That's pretty sick! Sounds like you've got some good tools to work with, but it's always helpful to have a bit of advice from people who've been there before. First things first, make sure to disconnect the battery and drain all fluids from the engine and trans. No one wants to deal with toxic chemicals! Also, have you thought about Buy forklifts? They can really come in handy for jobs like this. As for the engine and trans removal, you're on the right track with removing the driveshaft and motor mounts.
