Question about injectors

Question about injectors
I'm just wondering if fuel injectors from a B230F (non turbo) would work on a B230FT (turbo). Reason is, I went to the pick and pull, pulled them off a non turbo volvo 780 and stuck em on my 88 740.
I'm not sure whether or not what I've done may or may not have caused me some issues... I won't describe my symptoms because the injectors look pretty well brand damn new.
What's the difference if any???

RE: Question about injectors
The turbo injectors flow more gas. In other words they are bigger injectors.
Put it this way I can stick them in my Mustang 5.0 and they are bigger than my OEM ones.
SO on yours you might be making it run to lean.
Depending on the year you can read the O2 sensor and see if it is running lean.

RE: Question about injectors
Yah they did, that and the book only specified the pressure needed to open the injectors... it was vague. A little off subject but I had to do a lot of work over a stupid gasket blowing on my exh. manifold. I think my turbo might be sticking a little, it's definitely cracked even after being repaired so I'll need to replace it. That gasket caused a snowball effect of crap breaking and going wrong :/
But I love the car and it's running again so all's well that ends well I guess.
Could that turbo freezing up a little or sticking solid cause excessive pressure buildup in my exhaust manifold? I don't want this to happen again. Also I lost the clip for the wastegate actuator rod. It looks as if there's a hole that I can run some safety wire through but when I try it feels as if it's just a shallow hole. Could I just wrap some .032" around there once or twice at the base of the connection where the clip should go and be fine?
Thanks again.

RE: Question about injectors
The clip should go all the way through the hole so something should be able to go through to secure it.
If the turbo locked up then you would have no power at all.
The manifolds crack all the time normal. Usually where the ports meet the turbo.
Also the manifold to head gaskets blow normally as well. It doesn't take excess pressure to do it.
The non turbo cars do it all the time to.

RE: Question about injectors
Yah there's no real power there to speak of, the stock boost gauge barely and I mean just barely passes the yellow line that starts in the middle when I mash on the gas... but then again the stupid wastegate actuator rod probably came off again. I've gotta try and stick something in there.
Thanks for the info on the gaskets and all that. I'm getting the manifold and turbo info on another thread
