I have a 94 940 and some one istalled an aftermarket radio and its all messed up. Only the 2 dash speakers work. I pulled it out to look at the wiring but i have no idea whats going on there. I dont see anyother speaker wires except for the ones some else wired in. there is also a factory plug for an amp?? Is this the problem? Also for some dumb reasn they cut off the factory harness end so it all just lose wires.

Any help would be great

 

Crutchfield knows for sure. You could call and ask, maybe they'll sell you the wiring instructions. Normally, when you buy a radio from them, you get the converter cable and wiring diagrams.

Theres a good chance there was once an amp there... the two dash spkrs are powered by the head unit, and the rest by an external amp...

Is that referring to the highs (dash and rear panels) or the mids (doors)?

Cuz I really need the dash speaker colors... not the 5.25s
