Default Rear sprinkler clogged

Hi guys,

how do you fix a clogged rear sprinkler?
when I push the button to activate the rear sprinkler, you can hear the pump working, but No sprinkler fluid is coming out.

After having pushed the button for 2 seconds, you can hear that the pump is having to work harder, so I think it’s clogged.

any tips and does and don’ts are well received.

thanks in advance 😊

if you don't get even a dribble of fluid from the nozzle, I'd make sure you don't have a hose that popped off.

Forgot to mention that it’s a Volvo 240 gl estate. Does that change the situation?

Do you have any suggestions to where I should check first?

pull the panel inside the rear hatch, find the hose that goes to the squirter, and disconnect it, then run the pump.... does water come out? fluish it out good that way, then clean the nozzle with a thin sewing needle, hook it back up, and try again.

if nothing is coming out of the hose, well, I'd idsconnect the hose from the pump end, and run the pump, does a healthy stream come out? if not, the pump might be clogged. if a stream comes out there, but not the other end of the hose, try running some compressed air down the hose, but not too high pressure

Default check valve

In my 740 wagon there is a small check valve behind the right side lift gate pillar. It is not obvious, but once you find it, it's easy to fix. Just replace the check valve, it will keep the line charged with washer fluid and you're in business.
