Default Repair or Replace Fender/Hood/Rear Door? Volvo 245 Wagon

Hi there!

I am thinking about selling my Volvo 245 wagon at some point, but I want to get it ready for sale first.

Does it make more sense to try to fix the dents or replace the parts altogether? What’s cheaper?

Also, what’s a fair selling price for a 1983 Volvo 245 wagon?

Thank you!

Hey, fair selling price depends on a lot of things... Consider for instance whether this car will sell in Southern California? If so, you may want to go with a lower price, just due to the factory A/C probably being weak unless you've significantly updated it. Also look at the overall condition of the car. If you put in 1k to fix the dents it has, but the interior is torn up or you don't have a working A/C (if it is working it's inadequate), is this car worth more than about 2k to a guy in a hot climate? Maybe you'll get more in Colorado or Northern California though if it's rust free. A wagon will demand more money, but crappy wagons are a dime a dozen.
