Hey folks, was wondering if anyone knows of a good but inexpensive source for intake and exhaust valves for the 16V B234F engine. I recently bought one that had popped the timing belt off, and as expected all the valves were bent. What was unexpected was that the best price I could find for all 16 valve is aroun $260, or a little over half of what I paid for the car. The car is nice so I'd like to get her up and running, but cost of the valves and the head rebuild is having to factor into my decision.
Also, does anyone have experience with removal of the balance shafts on this engine? My son's B230 is smooth as butter so I don't figure I really need them, and I've read elsewhere that they can be removed with no ill effects. Are there any special parts to replace when removing the balance shaft assemblies?
