Rough idle

Rough idle
New Member Help!?
I have an older 240 1984 Sedan but in good condition
with 180,000.
Recently when I start the car (it starts easily) the car
runs rough when idleing. However when I do up to
any speed it runs fine. It kind of hiccups alittle and
the engine just feels like it is limbing along. I have done
the below>
1. Checked cylinder compression all good
2. Clean all sparkplugs and wires and checked all good
3. Clean rotor and distributer and checked wires all good
I think it is a timing problem that occurs in idle
Any suggestions> could it be my timing belt?

RE: Rough idle
the egr system exhuust recirculation system witch is an egr valve and conecting tubes and vacuum lines that reculate exaust gases to intake manifold to reduce emissions add cool cylander temps.if the valve gets clogged it will cause rough idle and poor performance if the engine has a lot of miles you should look at the intake valves for excessive carbon build up
