Sheepskin seat covers - 240DL
I joined the forum last March - purchased a 245 for my 16 year old daughter. The car is great. Have put some money into it - AC/Evaporator, brakes/pads all around, tune up, and fixed a couple of small leaks.
The front seats are starting to crack open. Does anyone have recommendations on Sheepskin seat covers. I've seen everything from $50 bucks to over $300 per seat.
Thanks in advance for your suggestions.

My daughter got my 245 for high school and her first 2 years of college. She's agreat kid, quite responsible but hauling her peers around really did a number on the car. Spilled Cokes and shakes, french fries in places under the seats that could not be removed w/o pulling the seats. I would give serious thought of either having the seats recovered in vinyl or trying to find better seats somewhere. Plus, I'm not a big fan of sheep's skin...seems I remember getting shocked a few times in the winter.

Thanks for your feedback. Yes I fully understand as I have leather in my other cars, and when there is a spill its an easy clean up. I was just looking for a cheaper solution vs. recovering and I thought the sheepskin could be washed - maybe that is the "fake" sheepskin.
I'll do a google search and see if I can find anyone that does auto seat recovering and compare costs. The car is in great shape and she loves it - and says she plans on taking it to college with her as well.
thanks.
