I just picked up a 93 240 Classic wagon and I am wondering what people suggest for snow tires without studs. Also, wondering what people suggest about snow chains.

 

It depends upon the typical type of winter where you will be driving your vehicle. In Vermont, where there are the four seasons of pre-winter, winter, post-winter and mud season, on my '90 240DL I had real good performance with studded Hercules Polar Trax P195/75R14's. Yeah, the studs are noisy and not the best on dry pavement but I only ran them during the snow season. I ran all-seasons for the remainder of the year.
