I spent the last hour replacing the left engine mount (last one) and I duct taped some random Volvo MAF to my intake piping. I fired it up, tested the new MAF by unplugging it to make sure it's working, it stalls, I get in and turn the key. Nothing. The lights dim as usual, but no cranking. After trying a couple times I get out and see the smoke.

The hell happened here?

Nah, the 960 MAF will work fine for now. Besides, how well would a turbo MAF work in an NA engine?

 

Cool, figured I'd offer. Both are LH 2.2... air/fuel may be jacked up but wouldn't the ECU adjust to compensate?

 

IDK, the 960 MAF seems to work okay. Anyway, I got it to start a grand total of like 4 times, now it just spins and wont engage.

Goddamn it.

 

Do you want the starter off of the 780? Since you're committed to buying atleast the turbo components, if not the whole engine, I'd send you a part here and there for nothing but shipping so you can keep it running while you're saving up.
