hello,
i have a 1991 volvo 940 turbo, its been at the repair shop for 2 weeks now,and they cant figure out whats wrong.these guys are european mechanics too!
my car cranks over, but wont start,as of today,i have changed the flywheel sensor, the ingnitor, rotor, cap, coil, the main ECM computer, the ignition computer, the fuel injection relay and they have checked the timing belt.so far no luck...
these guys are stumped as well.i hope someone here can give me some advise.

Fuel Injection relay? That should have been changed first...

did these have the radio suppression relay like the '87 740? looped into the ignition circuit, that is. I remember reading somewhere when I still had my 740 that if this relay blew, it would prevent spark from being delivered. I don't know if the '91 940 turbo is wired the same way or not.

Check all your engine ground connections first and foremost then check the power stage...if that doesn't work and they've already thrown the kitchen sink at it, you may have a bad engine wire harness....

this all started when i brought it in for a water hose leak on the back firewall, they removed the heater control valve and blocked off the hoses.we dont need heat here in florida.when he was done with that, the car would not start up again.i have check for corrosion on all the plug-in relays and connectors thinking something got wet, still nothing..

maybe he broke or loosened the main ground?? Have them check all your grounds if they were doing work back there....
