tail gate gasket

I have replaced the one on my 740 sedan before, I just got a used one though. The most important thing to remember is to NOT CUT IT IN THE MIDDLE!!! Doing that will make it to where you have an improper seal. The old one will be glued on so i would suggest a scraper or a common screwdriver to pry the old one off. I don't think that any glue is necessary to hold down the new seal, I didn't for me, but if you pace things in the back of your vehicle to where it requires you to have the trunk open, then i would find the right glue for it. And place the new seal on almost the same way you took the old seal off and get the corners first, they will be the hardest.
