Just wondering if the trick for the obd1 850s will so work on a 91 240? Or if there is any way to check the actual mileage via another method? Ours has a ton of miles and I'm just curious how many it actually has. First odometer grenaded at 317,000. PO replaced with a junk yard unit that lasted about 20,000 and then it died. He drove it like that for about a year before we bought it and we have been driving the crap out of it. Somewhere north of 350,000 is what we've estimated but knowing the real number would be cool. nope, there's no such thing stored or calculated on these. the 850's have Motronic, with a unified computer, while the 240/740/940 (post 1982, anyways) have various versions of LH Jetronic, with seperate fuel injection and ignition computers.

our 87 240 odometer croaked at 256253 miles, and that was 15 years ago. my best estimate is 400-500K miles, but who knows?
