Default Trunk Leak (Still)

Ok guys, i checked the other posts on this but nothing has helped. I have a 91 740 Turbo 4 door with a sunroof. When it rains my trunk gets wet, thoes little pockets on the right and left side are what get it. I checked thoes two hoses for the sunroof and there was crud jamed in them so i cleaned them out, but after hard rain today i saw that my baseball mits were all wet (they were stored in thoes pockes). Im wondering if the tail lights may give water a way in? Im kinda lost and any help would be great. Thanks a lot.

hmm, that sucks...have you removed the carpeting around the area? look at the sealing on the trunk bay hatch...try pouring water around the area and look for possible clues...i imagine you might just want to investigate the causes...otherwise i'm not sure.

take a hose and spray your car. Spray on top, on sides, under car, tail lights. Find out where the water is getting in your carand trouble shoot from there.

Ok, so after pulling up the carpet i saw that there is a hose comming from the power antenna and it was cloged with gunk etc and was also pinched so i cleaned that and set it right. Then i cleaned out thoes hoses because they had sticks and leaves in em, then today we got a ton of rain and i was excited to see my dry trunk but there was still a bit of water in thoes pockets. So tomorrow i will take out the tail lights and see if anything is stuck in or around them, because i saw a line of water trickling down from them, so that is my problem aera. I will let you all know how it goes. Annoying but ill take an old volvo over anything. Well for now at least. haha.

I just read this thread and I was starting to rack my brain because I can remember having the wet trunk problem in my 85 760 Turbo Diesel about18 years ago. Then I read that you looked at the antenna and knew that was what I found back then too.
