Utah Volvo Mechanic
Anyone on this forum live in Utah? Not too many 240 Volvos around here - I am guessing because of the mountains and the salt during the winter. I am in town for the summer (Salt Lake City) and am looking for a fair and reliable volvo mechanic.
There are a few--depends on how much you want to pay. There is Vintage Volvo in SLC. The guy seemed pretty good, but I never used him--did all our own work.
Titan Joe is out in Utah at the moment, and he may have more relevant information. You might private message him for more information. It has been a few months since I've been living there.

Yeah, I've talked to John. He's very willing to give good advice.
I keep thinking that it would be nice to start some sort of local Volvo RWD club here (here being Provo). I'm no pro, but I'm always willing to help another Volvo owner.

Thanks guys - just visited Vintage Volvo this morning. John was very knowledgable and helped to problem solve a few issues. Really nice guy and willing to talk and share his knowledge. I think you are right, he is semi-retired and just has his few regular customers here and there. Really cool shop though - had a great time exploring.
Titan Joe - a club could be interesting - you don't generally see too many old volvos on the road in slc.
