Default V70 stereo in 940

I miss the nice sounding stereo that was in my v70. I now have a 940 and the stereo sounds bad.. Has anyone ever tried swapping a stereo out of an 850 or v70 and put into a 940? I want to swap the power amp and head stereo unit..

Anyone know where the sublow speaker is at in an 850 or v70?

Thanks!

I'd get a decent aftermarket stereo (any major brand like Pioneer, Kenwood, Alpine, even the low end models have good sound now) and get some good speakers, the best you can fit into the doors (I believe they are 5.25"). aftermarket stereos now all have 25w x 4 digital amps that are plenty powerful enough for sane volumes, as long as you're not going for competition grade sound.

a lot of low end 940's have only dash speakers in front, and the front door speaker positions are empty. they are probably wired for speakers already (my 92 745T is). the back door stock speakers aren't coaxial, just a 5.25" cone.
