Default RE: Volvo 1993 940 Dashboard

Sorry for bringing back a rather dead topic but I had a few questions.

first of all I did get my guage and my pillar mount, I haven't put them in yet because I need to get some wire and the "add-a-circuit" fuses.

1. Tech how did you hide the wires did you pop off the a-pillar molding and tuck them underneath?

2. The add-a-fuse thing, does this look right? http://www.partsexpress.com/pe/showd...number=071-580 I could just put that in place for something that is switched...also on my fuse panel, there is an empty slot that says extra, would that be where an extra fuse was in case something blew or is that an extra place for wiring something such as a gauge, in my case ?

Now, I just need to hide the wires and etc...also where would be a good place to cut the vacuum line? like I read in some places that different places with produce slightly different readings, and less steady readings...any suggestions?

Link is dead.
What do you want to use the fuse for?

For connecting the wire from the gauge to an electrical source.

Sorry about the link, it had a few spaces at the end, http://www.partsexpress.com/pe/showd...number=071-580

the little instruction thing I got with the gauge says to "Connect the yellow wire to the positive side of the battery. When wiring this connection install a 3 amp fuse within 20 inches of the battery. The yellow wire can also be connected to any constant 12 volt connection in the fuse panel. For easy installation in the fuse panel you can get an 'add a circuit' which looks like a fuse with an additional wire attached; this is available at a local auto parts store."

The next instruction was also to connect the orange and purple wires, and connect those to an ignition wire, any positive 12 volt source that turns on when the ignition is on and turns of when the ignition is off, it can be connect to the fuse panel, accessory wire, etc...and again it mentions the add a circuit....

ok, so what about hiding the wires...did you pop off the whole trim panel of the a-column to hide them?
also any specific place that would be good to connect the vacuum line, or just any vacuum line will work?
I also got to figure out to get the wires from the fuse panel to the column :/ lol but I can figure that out...

You are going a-pillar correct?
Tuck them under till the dash then hide them.

Also do you have a stock boost guage? If so them find that hose and cut it and put a t in there.
