IPD is going to be the main one. Being an NA there's not much to get and gain power..especially being a heavy little car.

Hi adrenlineskater,

I have found these sites/companies to be very helpful in addition to IPD and FCPgroton and other parts houses.

http://www.avalancheperformance.com/ Avalancheperformance.com
http://people.physics.anu.edu.au/~am...andling_V2.htm
http://www.cravingboost.com/ Cravingboost.com
http://www.r-sportinternational.com/index.php R-Sportinternational.com
http://www.volvomotorsports.com/catalog/ Volvomotorsports.com

Also, after several months searching Volvo 240 forums online, I have learned that the Normally Aspirated B230f engine in the 240 can be made to squeeze out as much as 20-40 hp increase and about 10-25 ft/lbs torque at the wheels extra, but requires as much money and work as adding a turbo to it.

You'll need to upgrade the engine internals, port intake and exhaust, valve jobs, cam, ECU chips, head gasket, fit new exhaust, install different injectors and fuel regulator, better ignition components, and upgrade the cooling system.

For anything else performance wise, these cars benefit greatly from suspension and brakes upgrades, exhaust, different wheels and tires, and the best seats you can find to fit.

Best of success to you,

Brandon in Franklin, TN

If you really want to make power out of an NA motor and keep it NA you're going to need to get a ITB kit, you can make your own or buy one, engine management you can go cheap and use a megasquirt kit, crazy headwork, and a really hot cam. After that headers exhaust, a bunch of little things. And you'll end up spending like 1500 for all that. Or just go +t for like 500 and make more horsepower than you have seen from staying NA.
