Default Volvo 240 shocks/struts upgrade

I am looking to replace/upgrade my shocks/struts on my 91' wagon as mine seem to be on their last leg. I'm not quite sure which one to get and have heard about fitment issues with Bilsteins in the later model 240s, plus mine is equipped with ABS so I'm not convinced these will work. I would like to ask if any of you recommend any other quality shocks/struts that will fit?

why not go with the OEM Sachs? they are plenty firm and are good for 100K+ miles. Check out Volvo friendly stores like FCP Euro or IPD USA to see what part numbers they recommend. You can also use a dealer store like Tasca to get the correct volvo part number - ie google "Volvo 3530485" and you should see the front strut insert for cars with ABS.
