What are the best spark plugs for a 240 Wagon?
What are the best spark plugs for a 240 Wagon? It's running rough and spark plugs haven't been replaced in a long time. Whats is the gap supposed to be? They said they have Denzo with .040 gap and NGK with .028 gap! Confused!

the B230F is pretty tolerant of spark plugs, they mostly originally came with Bosch Super 7900 WR7DC. NGK 7131 are a direct replacement. Platinum and Iridium etc plugs are wasted on these motors, they are happier with old school copper plugs. Gaps should be 0.028 - 0.032 inches (0.7-0.8mm).
Thank you! My friend just put on NGK 6427 (V-Power) plugs. I'll look at the 7131 next time. I'm probably selling this 1990 Gold Volvo 240 wagon by April. It has some rust underneath and some crossmember rusted out areas. It runs much smoother now, (really need it as my Jeep was totaled, by a clueless driver....)
