What Kind Of Coolant Are You Using??
 

Hey guys...My 240 seems to be running a tad hot (after bypassing the temp compensation board, needle is at the 9:30-10:00 position). I'm thinking of doing a flush and replacing the thermostat. Just was wonder what coolant you are using. Was thinking of using Prestone Extended Life 50/50 Prediluted which I used on my 850.

save yourself some $$$ and get the full strength a/f... it may be a few dollars more, but after you dilute it to 50/50 mixture, you end up with twice as much as you would have by saving those few dollars;) it's the same stuff, they're just charging you for having it mixed already!

me? I bought the store brand antifreeze... same as I use in my project car, and all the other beaters before:D

Also, read the ingredients on the back of the jug and make sure whatever you buy doesn't include "silicates." All that glass will eat an aluminum water pump.
