Default What year models have same window glass as 83 240 DL?

Hey, I just picked up an 83 240 DL and the 2 front doors need the windows replaced. What all years of 240 and/or 242's can I use to replace them. Thanks

well, since you mention front doors, I'm going out on a limb and saying you have a 244. The window glass remained unchanged from 1975 to 93. Actually, I think the 144 in 74 used the same glass too as that was the year they did away with the wing vents. Same is true for the windshield and back glass.

Front door glass from any Volvo 244 or 245 1975-1993 will fit any other Volvo 244 or 245, manual windows or electric. Before 1975 Volvos had cigarette windows on the front doors. Glass for the rear door is even more interchangeable, the rear doors are exactly the same on the 1965 Volvo 144 as they are on the 1993 Volvo 240, apart from the door handle being redesigned.

OK, its done! Just like you said. Took the glass form both front doors on 2 different sedans then put them in my wagon. No problem. They were late 80's models too. Fit perfect.

Default Rear Window

I’ve got a shattered rear windshield (it was literally a barn find, except it outlived the barn). Are the rear windows the same from 1975-1993 as well?

as long as its the same body style (sedan vs coupe vs wagon). at least if its 83+ ... I'm not sure about the early versions with the more slender trunk and hood.
