Purchased a 1990 Volvo 240 Wagon for a few hundred dollars a few weeks ago....it runs and drives but need a few things
Getting ready to replace the fan motor and noticed these wires were cut and have no idea where they go...if anyone knows it would be greatly appreciated

hard to say withjout more context, whats either ends of the cut wires going to ?

I went through a bunch of random stuff that might be wired through the drivers side under the dash, and didn't find anything with just those 4 colors. most everything I can think of that someone might gut has a green or a black or something other than those 4 colors.

the bulb failure sensor is in that area, big red-orange 'beer can' sized module with a round connector that has 15 pins.
on this failure module,
blue-yellow goes to the bulb failure lamp on the dashboard
blue goes to the left low beam, and another blue goes to the right lkow beam, grey comes from the low beam step relay
white comes from the fuse for the left tail light, red goes to the left tail light
grey comes from the fuse for the right tail light, brown goes to the right tail light
blue-red comes from the brake light switch, yellow to the right brake light, yellow-green to the left brake light. and blue-black to the 3rd brake light.
