Replaced both fuel pumps on my 85 740 turbo, and now it still won’t start, it turns over and you can hear the pump run when it’s turning over, could it be the injectors?

It would help if you could narrow the cause down to a fuel or an ignition problem. You can check if the ignition system is working by holding a plug wire near a ground point while cranking. Check if the injectors are firing by placing a test light across an injector's connector.

Before you throw parts at it......here is a quick troubleshooting tip. Get some starting fluid and spray about a 2 second burst into the air intake/ or carburetor. Try starting it. If it tries to start or even runs for a few seconds then you have a fuel delivery issue. If it doesn't fire or run, then you have an ignition or timing issue. Good luck

If your timing belt is old, check the timing as well, my 240 once jumped so many teeth that it wont start, then I just snap it back and drive out for a new belt and tensioner. These engine (assume b230 based) won't tell you anything when the timing is off.

Just a 12V led test light to indicate a pulse.
