I recently bought a 245 knowing one door doesn't open, it had been smashed in at some point. anyone know if i could use a door from a 240 on my 245

 

If your replacement door is from a 244 - a FOUR door sedan, then YES, the door will fit fine.

 

so your saying i need a 4 door sedan rear door. could i use a door from another 240 wagon?

 

Yes! All the doors on the four door sedans are the same as the doors on the wagons. Some of the early 244/245 front doors had wing windows but other than that, they're interchangable. In fact, if you're dealing with the rear doors, even the old 145 doors are the same.

You DO remember those cars...right?

Just so you'll know, I own both a 1988 244DL and a 1986 245DL wagon. I can sit right here and look at them and see that they are plainly the very same.
