Can anyone explain why my rear wiper will not shut off? I recently purchased a new wiper switch/lever and replaced the original one. That did not fix the problem. The first symptom was only the intermintent feature worked and then, within a couple of weeks, the wiper just kept on going.

Also, I am new to this sight and visited the "New members" forum only to discover that I could not start a new thread. Any thoughts?

 

You have a short somewhere, probably at the tailgate wiring-it chafes and makes problems...
