Default 1997 960 Steering Chatter

My 960 has had this problem since I have had it. When I'm parked or barely moving, and I turn the steering wheel to the left or right, my steering wheel chatters. Not sure if it's the power steering pump or something else. Where should I start or what should I do to figure this out?

How do you mean 'chatter'?? Does it stutter in your hands, or is it making noise?

Has it had the updated cooling loop installed?

It just makes the noise. I can't really feel it, I don't think. What is the updated cooling loop?

The updated loop makes the loop return system longer.
Here is an easy way to tell. Look under by the oil filter and see if there is a rubber hose looped in a circle. If there is it is the updated one.

They come up with the updated one to get rid of chatter in the wheel while turning.

So Tech, the longer hose acts as an accumulator/spring due to the rubber hose's ability to expand a little and absorb pressure spikes?

Regards, Andrew.
