I have an 85 740 GLE non turbo and need to replace the torque convertor. I've found a couple used transmissions and TC, but they are different transmissions. What is the possibility of using an alternate transmission torque converter on my car? Also my research online says my transmission is the ZF 4HP-22 but the dealer says it could be one of 2 different transmissions. How can I determine which transmission is in my car for sure?
