Default 760 brake light weirdness...

OK so my '88 760 is acting up yet again! This is what happened...The bulb failure light came on so i looked for the burntout bulb and found it was one of the brake lights so I replaced the bulb. Fixed right? Well not really with the lights on it is there and on but then if I step on thebrake pedal the light I replaced goes out and the bulb failure light comes on! What the heck? I don't know how this happened and what to do from here... Suggestions?

Thanks,
Luger

You need a 2 element bulb. My guess is that you have installed the wrong type bulb.
