760 Turbo 1990
After driving the car in very hot weather (ca 90 degrees) in California.... for a few miles and then stopping the car
turning off the motor, and trying to restart, I have to wait for a couple of hours, or so, before I can continue.
I have discovered that, when I open the hood, I can restart after about two minutes.
(Obviously it has to do with the outside temperature... but how can I solve the problem?)
What could be the cause? I have taken it to several mechanics for several months now,
but the problem persists, only when the weather is hot. It is worse when it is humid outside.
I have no problem when the temp is below 90, or so.
I just had the battery connections cleaned, but the problem is still the same. Everything works fine when I drive.
I wonder if it could be a relay switch? Or anything else?
Any suggestions would be much appreciated.
Thanks

Thank you very much for your suggestion. I had the starter motor replaced in August 04.
Do you think it could wear out that fast?
I have been reading the forum. Could it possibly the engine speed sensor?
