87 760 turbo no power coming out of the turbo! and cherry red manifolds
so what could this be?
my turbo seemed to go last sunday. i can hear it? like a ring as always. but there is no power? as soon as it is suppose to kick in it lags down to the point of losing speed.
is there vaccum coming off of the turbo that couldhave fallen off?
the waste gate is not seized. i checked that already
and i replaced the cat convertor two months ago

Remove the induction hose on the front of the turbo and try spinning the turbo with your finger.

Check and see if the o2 sensor is sweeping.
Also unplug the Mass Flow sensor and see if the car runs better.

Take a digital meter and install the positive on the single wire for the o2 sensor.
The black from the meter to ground. Start the car and watch the meter.
Let us know what it does.

i finally got it to start last night,. but it took a lot of pumping the gas pedal and it stalling and so on and so forth... but it did start and run for about an hour. then it died and now wont start again?

Check for injector pulse.
Pumping the gas doesn't really do anything.
Unplug the mass flow and see if it starts.
BTW if the exhaust manifold glows cherry red that means a really lean condition.
Did you do anywork to the car before this happened?
Also remove the oil cap and make sure the cam is turning when the engine cranks.
