93 960 Heater Core Replaced!
Back in June I lost my heater core. It was messy and quite sudden and a real bummer. However since it was June, I put off replacement. Finally 2 weeks ago I ordered a replacement from FCP and dove into the unknown realm under my 960's dash. I printed out some instructions I got off of Brickboard.com, and found everything to go surprisingly easy. Granted it did take almost 8 hrs of labor, and I had to experiment with different tools to get a few of the bolts out, I was kind of blown away at how relatively straight-forward it was. Just a lot of little bolts, screws, and various parts the needed to patiently be dealt with. My patience payed off, and now I have heat again! I'm so happy it went as smooth as it did, and I encourage anyone who may be faced with this problem to tackle it themselves and save the huge amount of $$ you would have to pay a mechanic to do it. Next project: Seat Heaters

Glad to hear the Heater Core replacement isn't too difficult. While I have heat, there is signs of leakage in the past from my heater core on my 93. I know it's one of the things I will replace in the near future.
My seat warmers don't work either...so I'll be possibly hitting you up once you tackle this project to get some advice!

at least you have a few signs of leakage and know the inevitable is going to happen. haha. Mine went suddenly and it went with a bang....(on the 405 freeway in the middle of morning rush hr traffic after it had sat for a month while I was traveling in Peru) After I pulled it apart I ran the hose through it and found the end had split about 4 inches along the seam of the tank and fins. Needless to say it caused quite the flood of antifreeze.
