HELP heater core replaced now temp. won't stay down.

Default HELP heater core replaced now temp. won't stay down.

ok i replaced the heater core fine. then i filled the antifreeze then ran the car ran fine, then temperature started torise i have gotten all of the air pockets out i think. i am thinking that it might be the thermastat but am not really sure. I am really confused and the rent a car is getting expensive so if anyone has an idea please let me know fast. thank you Jay

by temp you mean the engine temp in your dash?

if so i would go ahead and put in a new thermostat, they are only 5 bucks

my 850 had over heating problems untill i swapped my thermostat out, hope this helps

also it can take some time to get all of the air pockets out of the cooling system, so i would try to be patient

you can try jacking up the pass. side of vehicle with the cool cap off and engine running. that will make it the highest point on vehicle so hopefully the airpocket will bubble out assuming that is your problem good luck.
