960 keys
School me on Volvo keys, 960 specifically. I got 3 keys when I bought the car, and because it’s a work-in-progress never checked the keys in the locks, until yesterday. The keys unlatch the rear wagon door and operate the ignition switch without issue but none will operate either front door locks. They each slide into the cylinders without issue but don’t turn the lock. As in mechanically they aren’t engaging the pins.
If you wanted to lock the car, and you have tried lubricating both door locks - your choice would be ordering a new door tumbler from Volvo using the VIN (as long as the other 2 locks have not been changed, and Volvo still sells that part) and replacing the drivers door lock tumbler. Focus on the passenger tumbler - if you can get it to work you can move it to the drivers side. Sometimes when the keys get worn, the key/s won't turn the door or ignition tumblers. But I can't imagine having 3 bad keys - if the keys are worn you can order one from Volvo from the VIN also - and if it does not work - you won't have to pay for it!
That car should also have a remote - but i'd still want a door lock to work.
What year is the car? (that determines remote programming procedure)

Thanks, it’s a 97 and there are remotes too. It’s strange the 3 keys work the rear hatch and the ignition without fuss and insert into the key ways of both front doors but don’t engage the pins. I’ll try some graphite tomorrow.
