The rear shocks, nivomats, with age will drain down over time, when new they might still hold pressure for a few days, with age they will bleed down in several hours, for sure overnight.
A short drive and all will be well and the motion pumps them up to ride height.

My 960 sags in the rear, and I don't have the Nivomat shocks. Mine's a '95, with the leaf spring (not sure if all had that or not), and new OEM Sachs/Boge rear shocks. I saw a guy use rear trailing arms off another 7 or 9 series with regular coil springs, and I'm considering switching to that.
