Default 960 threw two codes...are they serious?!

Well, the '93 960's check engine light showed up the other day and I had a chance to pull the codes from the ODBI test block and received two codes. Was wondering if anyone can help decipher them and let me know if they are serious.

3-2-2 code - From what I have gathered it has something to do with the MAF sensor and a wire, ground perhaps? What do I need to do to check this further or do I need to replace the MAF sensor?

5-1-1 code - Long term fuel trim, idle. This one I don't know what to make. It comes up and a whole host of things. Intake/exhaust leak, EVAP, excessive fuel in engine oil, and the MAF sensor.

Anyone of experiences with these codes and how to deal with them? Aside from a rough idle and a surge at stop lights from time to time, the car runs great. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

That sounds like the MAF. But before you throw another one in, and since other components' failures sometimes cause random MAF codes, what is the condition of Stage 0 in your car?

Next, I would check for vacuum leaks and fuel pressure (idle and WOT). Use this guide for Vacuum.

You should also download Service Manual from my Google Documents. There is a section there for checking MAF.

On Brickboard FAQ, there is a section on how to clean the MAF with Simple Green. Try that as well.
