One more quick question I promise my last regarding this, is the readout supposed to light up at night? I am taking the car in for service soon and will have them do it, or ask when there, but if it is an easy thing to do I would prefer to acomplish this task myself thank you.

 

I know thatI am able to read the temperature at night, so there must be some sort of backlighting. I am not sure how you would access it though.
