I Added a alpine cd changer just the way they said but it still does not work the radio just keeps reading EEEEEEE why wont the radio cd changer controller work? I have an 2000 S40 can anyone help!

 

Did you ever get this one figured out? I'm still not able to get the CD player to operate, it won't even read 'CD' in the display. My suspicion is that the pins on the plugs aren't operating although they appear fine. Any suggestions or theories would be appreciated. Main unit is the stock sc-811 radio with CD capability. My 95 960 radio/cd player shows all eeeeee's when you disconnect the battery and re-connect. The only fix for this is to enter the security code for the radio and all works file.
