Default Engine Dying/Starting Problems in 1988 760 Turbo

Hello, I'm a newbie to the forums as well as being a Volvo owner. I recently purchased a 1988 Volvo 760 Turbo and have been having problems with it stalling and not restarting after being driven for more than just a few miles, probably around 50 or 60. Just driving around town it's fine. First it hesitates when accelerating, and then after a while it will die and not restart until I let it sit for about 45-60 minutes. The temperature gauge indicates that the temperature is exactly in the middle and it seems to work as it should. Also, whenever I start it after it has cooled off to outside of the operating range it has problems starting and staying running until it gets to operating temperature. It requires some accelerator input (I have to rev it to about 2000 rpms to keep it running while it warms up.) Has anyone had any experience with anything like this? I have found a vacuum line that is not connected to anything that has a red adapter of some sort attached to it coming from the intake manifold.

Post a pic and maybe that will help someone help you. Also, those cars have idle control valves, maybe yours is bad.
