No idea on the trunk problem. If the latch is bad, that is likely the problem. I'm not even sure if you can remove the plate light assembly and get that latch bypassed. If the key is 12/6, it unlocks with the remote/drivers door. If it's 3/9 you have to unlock it with the key. Either way, once unlocked you HAVE to use the latch to open it.

It was the lock for some reason. I just jammed a flat blade into the lock cylinder, hit it really hard with a mini-sledge a few times, and then wiggled the screwdriver to damage the lock. Now, the trunk opens. But you won't be able to lock it.

Any more info on that sensor?

Okay I figured out where the sensor is. The plugs on it look fine, so I'm going to assume its the sensor that's bad.

I'm going to try the one from the 93 at the junk yard. If that doesn't work, I guess its a trip to Advance for a new one.

I just ordered a new one. I figured it isn't my money and they don't mind replacing it with a new one. And who is to say that the junk yard one works anyway? Its not worth driving a half hour one way to pull it and test it.

Anyway, today I waxed it and it looks/feels AMAZING.

I only need to install the new camshaft sensor, new radio (OEM one is busted), detail the engine, and then install the hood.

I figured it will be easier to wait until the cam sensor is replaced to put the hood on. My girlfriend's garage has no light in it, and the hood would cast a shadow over my work space.
